Text description provided by architects. The first point highlighted during the initial conversations was that the main attraction of MO would be the baked goods, presented in the space as gems with authentic and fresh flavours. For this reason, Masquespacio began to develop a concept based on water, which creates magic and life, but is also the foundation of any bakery. At the same time, water is an element that can distort reality and change our perspective, which is the perfect counterpoint to MO's philosophy of doing things differently.
The space is divided into 3 different parts each representing a stage in the process of making baked goods and coffee with water as the main ingredient. First we have the “liquid state”, where the dough is mixed with water and which forms the focal point for all the different areas within the MO.
In the bar area, a huge waterfall is recreated making it clear that the focal point of the space is the bar that displays its delicious products for sale.
The waterfall was created by sandblasting each pipe to create the illusion of water and the feeling of freezing beyond. In front of the bar we can find the “solid state” or “ice” area where a huge series of lamps representing ice is the main attraction, while next to it we can see some giant lamps displaying the “gaseous state” “in the form of a series of fiery lamps to represent the moment Bake pastries in the oven.
In terms of furniture, each item has been customized and designed for the project, offering different seating options to create different experiences for visitors ranging from low lounge seating and communal tables to high bar stools and semi-private seating for couples. A gray and white color palette with metallic finishes was chosen for the tables and fabrics to generate reflections that create the distortion that water can cause.
On the other hand, the lighting includes fully controllable RGB lighting to set the mood that can transform the space into a different state, and is able to represent the overall “different space” within the space, in campaigns, engagements, or conversations, which also extends Through the reflections of space in the chrome fabrics, tables and areas creating another level of visual fusion. This space is not solid. They are interchangeable and dynamic following what the brand says. Welcome to the new mood brand.
